Jerry Daniels, known by the nickname "Hog," was a CIA operative who played a significant role in the Secret War in Laos, particularly in Military Region II (MR-II). He worked closely with General Vang Pao from 1968 until 1975, managing military assistance programs and overseeing post-war development projects such as agriculture and cattle raising. Daniels was instrumental in coordinating aid for Hmong refugees in Thailand during and after the war, helping them find opportunities to immigrate to the United States. His dedication earned him great respect among the Hmong and Lao people he supported. Jerry Daniels passed away on April 28, 1982, in Bangkok, Thailand, and his body was returned to Montana for burial later that year (Victor B. Anthony & Richard R. Sexton, 1993).
